Hello, welcome! I have 25 years of clinical experience conducting individual, group, family, and couples therapy as well as working with substance abusing, mentally ill, and dually diagnosed individuals and their families, both in inpatient and outpatient settings. I utilize evidenced based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing as well as the family systems approach to examine and conceptualize the family dynamics. When appropriate and requested by the client, I integrate Christian/Catholic concepts in assisting clients in finding more meaning and purpose in their lives as well as relief, comfort, and solutions in their daily struggles. I also have experience conducting A.B.A. therapy with children and adolescents on the autism spectrum. I have been a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) for the past 20 years. Over the past 17 years, I have been a qualified supervisor and provided clinical supervision to many unlicensed clinicians. I received my doctorate degree (Ed.D.) in Counseling Psychology from Argosy University Online, education specialist degree (Ed.S.) in Counseling from Barry University, and Master’s Degree (M.S.) in Marriage & Family Therapy from St. Thomas University. In my undergraduate studies, I received a Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Psychology from Florida International University.
